Can't remember to finish a Novena?

Neither can I. I've started hundreds of 'em. Completed maybe a dozen in the last ten years. I tend to forget to say it by day five or six. Although I should probably just plow ahead and complete it late, somehow the fact of having missed a day leaves me feeling discouraged, and so I usually just give the whole thing up. Until the next time someone asks me to say a novena, and then it happens all over again.

If you are like me, you'll be excited by this website, Pray More Novenas.  Sign up and  site owner John Paul will send  daily reminders along with the prayers right to your email address.

I was looking forward to using this service this year in order to keep up with the Christmas Novena, but today I received an announcement from John Paul stating that another novena of some sort will be announced tomorrow.  He didn't say what novena this is, perhaps  wanting to generate a some buzz about it  first. And it worked, since here I am, generating buzz.  So, if you want to pray more novenas, sign up today.

  1. It really is a good thing. I found them about the time of the Little Flower's novena. :) He usually has one novena per month. Just what I needed to help me expand my spiritual life.

  2. Bless you! It's so reassuring to hear other people talking about how they forget to finish Novenas, accidentally spend 35 Hail Marys of the Rosary thinking about bacon, etc etc. I feel in much better company and feel brave enough to keep trying when I am reminded that it's not just me.

  3. Of course it's not just you, Tara! It's those perfect people who are in the minority.
