Small Sucesses

1. With the help of the competent Celeste Behe  I've figured out how to put the Faith&Family Live  "Small Success" picture on this blog.
2. I've gotten out to weekday mass twice so far this week. (not impressive to most of you, I'm sure, but for me it's big.)
3. Also twice this week, I've packed a school lunch for my youngest, thus shaving some bucks off the school lunch bill. Downside: the roast beef  sandwich came home uneaten. Upside, the peanut butter/fluf sandwich was a success, and only costs about 15 cents to make. Downside: I can't send in peanut butter/fluf every day or the nutrition police might get after me.

  1. When I was a child I used to beg for PB/fluff sandwiches. I think my mother only obliged 3 or 4 times in my whole childhood! But, oooo, so good! My toddler refuses to eat any sandwiches though - so I haven't had the chance to share this wonderful creation. Sounds like a great week to me!

  2. The nutrition police might look the other way if you used whole wheat bread for the PB & Fluff sandwich. But your child probably wouldn't eat it, either.

Regarding the boomeranged roast beef sandwich: At least it didn't end up in the trash. It just kills me when my kids leave their lunch table for a few minutes, and return to find that the table has been cleared of "leftovers." Aarggh!
