I'd like to give away another copy of my book. This time, I want it to go, for certain, to one of the regular readers of this blog.
I'm not going to put a notice on Facebook or Google+ or Twitter. I'm only mentioning it here. That will narrow down the field of entries a bit an increase the chances that one of you guys (I can't help saying you guys, having been brought up in New Jersey), who have been loyal fans of the Liturgy of the Hours, will win it. In addition, since many of you have already purchased the book, you'll probably give it away to a friend or relative, thus spreading the good news of liturgical prayer even further.
It will also be a heck of a lot easier to contact the winner this way. These visitors often enter the giveaway and then promptly disappear!
Okay, bretheren. And sistren. Put you "Want it!" in the combox and I'll get back to you on Friday.

Want it! Thanks Daria - I've enjoyed listening to your interviews.

ReplyDeleteWant it! I heard you on the radio this morning. Good Job!
ReplyDeleteI'm in!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I never comment, I love this blog. As a SAHM and third order Dominican trying to keep her prayers in check (and organized) your blog is always so useful! I want in! Thank you.
ReplyDeletewant it
ReplyDeleteOh, so thankful for second chances! I'd love one! Thanks for the chance and God Bless!

ReplyDeleteYou're the one. Write me with your address. email thesockeys"at"gmail "dot" com
DeleteMe too! I confess I haven't gotten your book yet, but I want one!
ReplyDeleteWant it ! Boy do I feel selfish saying that. But I have good reason to ask...a very good friend of mine at my parish just told me that his 22ish year old son is very seriously considering becoming a Benedictine Monk at the same Monastery that I'm an Oblate of. His son has already had a lengthly discussion with the Abbot and the Vocation Director and will be spending a week at the monastery "behind the walls" with the monks in a couple weeks.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, if he starts his journey on becoming a monk, he'll learn Latin and the chanting of the Divine Office using the EF version, I'd love for him to read your beautiful book and learn the history of LOTH. So if I win the book is going to Brendan Kelley.
I'd love to be the winner. Theresa Williams

ReplyDeleteThanks for your consideration,

Yes! Please! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWant it, keep re-reading parts and know who I'd give it to!

Have been reading your wonderful blog for the past few months but, as a computer novice, am having trouble "signing in." Profile? URL? How do I do this? Please put my name in the hat.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elizabeth
Elizabeth, I know this signing in thing is a pain, and you can stay anonymous if you wish. But if you go up on the right of this page, just under the ibreviary widget, and click "follow this blog" you can then sign up using a gmail, twitter, facebook, or other accounts. Some people don't like to jump through these kinds of hoops, but if you sign on as a blog follower it will make me happy to see my numbers increase.
DeleteDaria, Thanks for your prompt reply. Under the ibreviary on the right side is "Followers" and a large white space. Then "My Blog List." Nowhere do I see "follow this blog." I would be happy to sign on as a blog follower, but am clearly missing something. Help! Elizabeth
DeleteOh dear! There's supposed to be a bunch of little pictures of people who have signed up as followers. And actually, it doesn't say follow this blog, it says Join This Site. I don't know why you have the white space. Perhaps it has something to do with your security settings. Anyway, don't worry about it. Just check back tomorrow to see who the winner it.
DeleteHopefully I'm not too late. Please add me to your draw! Thanks!
